Another quality Palm Rod made in Finland and used for
competition fishing in the Nordic Regions and across Russia. Design
has a reel spool with a metal line guide in the handle. Reel is hard
molded plastic for durability and a fiberglass blank for lots of
backbone to set the hook. Rod comes with a terrific Strike
Indicator. Interchangeable Strike Indicators from FISKAS work well with
the Jonttu Sport Rod. Palm Rods allow you to sense the slightest
bites. Made for competition fishing with Wolfram Jigs and and smaller
Balances you can match the weight of your lure to one of the several
strike indicators, these are fish catching machines.
Jonttu Sport Special palm rod features:
The body and reel parts are made of the ABS plastic which retains high strength at low temperatures.
The tip of the rod is made of fiberglass and outfitted with a sensible indicator.
The working length of indicator can be adjusted. Each indicator has 2 rings for line.
The drum braking is continuously variable. It is automatically triggered by the strike or playing a big fish.
Braking is controlled by turning the rod. It can be lowered all the way to complete disengagement or to an
adjustable preset level.
The high precision parts prevent reel misalignment and malfunctioning
The special opening in the rod's body or foam like piece for hook parking
(provisions for attaching the hook while not in use)
Part of the Jonttu Sport rod has corrugated surface. Running your fingernail across the ridges will
cause tip vibration and jig play.
